Welcome to the first Teacher Resources newsletter from Kool Kids Sign.

It's time to go back for another school year.

While surfing the web I came across the Billy Bear 4 Kids website. I knew about it before but Loraine Wauer Ferus is always making more things. Check out her software page. I noticed a really nice program called Picture Prompt-Tell a Story.

Picture Prompt-Tell a Story lets you or the student create a picture to print out with primary writing lines. There are nine versions that you can download for free and use in the classroom. Make sure you get all of them.

Loraine also has other programs that you can download. Some are free some have a small fee to help cover the cost of the download. There is a comment in the list about teachers emailing so they do not have to pay a fee-I haven't tried it yet so I'm not sure what that means.

Do you have PowerPoint on your computer but never use it? It's not just for presentations anymore. Recently at the Pennsylvania Educators for Students Who Are Deaf and Hard of Hearing convocation, there was a presentation about the other uses for PowerPoint. It can be adapted to your classroom curriculum. You can make games, flash cards, storybooks, and a variety of other resources. Check out the possibilities and examples.

Do you have regular education teachers wanting more information and resources for their classroom? Check out Kool Kids Sign's Teacher section.

Have a resource to suggest? Submit it to Kool Kids Sign Teacher Resources. And don't forget to check out the other resources there.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone you think may be interested.
